Turntail Privacy Policy

Doxsys Studio LLC ยท Effective September 18, 2026

The short version: Turntail has no accounts, no ads, no purchases and no tracking. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos or location. To play online, the game connects through Unity’s multiplayer services, which work with an anonymous ID.

Who we are

Turntail is made by Doxsys Studio LLC, an independent game studio in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. Questions about this policy: info@doxsysstudio.com.

What Turntail does not collect

You never create an account or type your name. Turntail does not collect or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, precise or approximate location, or advertising ID. There are no ads and no in-app purchases.

Online play

Practice against the computer works entirely on your device. When you choose Online, Turntail uses Unity Gaming Services, provided by Unity Technologies, to find and connect a match:

  • Anonymous sign-in. Unity creates an anonymous player ID for your device so the services can work. It is not linked to your name or email.
  • Finding a match. An open game is listed with a join code and a randomly generated pilot name, such as “RED FALCON 27”. Pilot names are picked from fixed word lists; nobody can type one.
  • Playing. During a match your device exchanges game data (positions, controls, hits) with the other player through Unity’s relay servers. Like any internet connection, this uses your device’s IP address.

We do not see or keep any of this. Unity handles it under its own policy: Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Device information

The Unity engine that Turntail is built with may send Unity basic technical information about your device, such as the model, operating system version and graphics hardware. It is used to keep the engine working well on different devices and does not identify you.

Stored on your device

Turntail saves a few settings on your device only: the bot level, camera distance, pitch direction, and whether you have finished the tutorial. Deleting the app deletes them.

Children

Turntail does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not collect any.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
